RoomDeco Privacy Policy

RoomDeco (“we”, “us”, “the app”) is a furniture discovery app that helps you browse products, visualize them in your room using augmented reality, and get AI-powered suggestions based on photos of your space. This policy explains what data we handle and how.
Information we process
Room photos you provide. When you use the Room Studio feature, you can take a photo with the camera or pick one from your photo library. That photo is sent to our server (Supabase) and then to OpenAI’s API for analysis so we can generate design suggestions and product matches. The photo is used only to produce that response and is not stored on our servers, linked to your identity, or used to train models. Product searches and browsing. Search queries and category views are sent to our catalog service (Supabase) to return matching products. We do not associate these searches with a personal identifier.
Device advertising identifier (IDFA). If you grant permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, Google AdMob may use your IDFA to serve you personalized ads. If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalized. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → HikoshiKun.
Local preferences. App settings such as your dismissed onboarding cards and preferred category layout are stored on your device using Apple’s standard UserDefaults. This data does not leave your device.
What we do NOT collect
• We do not require an account, email address, phone number, or password. • We do not collect your name, address, precise location, or contacts. • We do not sell your data to any third party.
Third-party services
The app uses the following services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
• Supabase — hosts our product catalog and processes API requests. https://supabase.com/privacy • OpenAI — processes room photos to generate AI suggestions. https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy • Google AdMob — serves banner advertisements. https://policies.google.com/privacy • Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — collects your consent for ads in regions where required (EU/UK GDPR). https://policies.google.com/privacy
Permissions we request
• Camera — to capture a photo of your room for AR placement and AI analysis. • Photo library (read) — so you can pick an existing photo of your room for AI analysis. • Photo library (write) — so you can save AI-edited room designs. • Tracking (ATT) — optional; only used to personalize ads.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Because we do not maintain user accounts or store personal identifiers, there is generally no personal data of yours to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions or want to exercise rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Material changes will be highlighted in the app’s release notes.
